A bit of history about Die Plaaskombuis? How Did it all begin?

Die Plaaskombuis is a restaurant / roadside stall in the beautiful Hemel en Aarde Valley in Hermanus. Originally started in an old milking shed which was previously known as ‘The Valley Farmstall”; a place for all the local suppliers to sell their beautiful homegrown produce. The Farm Kitchen opened in May 2013 and to date, the original stalls are still standing and extensions have been done gradually over the last few years. “Nita Lotter had a dream and made it a reality!”. The Farm Kitchen serves heavenly farm breakfasts with Free Range Eggs, salads and Wraps as well as Vegetarian choices are also on the menu. Traditional foods include Oxtail, Lamb curry, Tripe and Bobotie with rice or samp served with farm vegetables.
